  1. MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
    The minutes of the last meeting were agreed.

  2. VISITING MEMBERS' QUERIES
    The meeting regarding the appeal against the decision to refuse planning permission to site caravans at Green Lane has been adjourned to 24-25 May at the Market Hall Kingston. Jim will attend to give evidence.

  3. MATTERS ARISING
    1. Jim has received a reply concerning the aviation near miss from Air Traffic Control via via Ed Davey.
    2. The Police have set up a local organisation "Safer Neighbourhoods, Local Police, Local Knowledge". It will be launched at a meeting on 7 June at the Kings Centre, Coppard Gardens. A seargent and 6 other officers will be deployed and a permanent base will be provided in the area. Relations with the Police Sector Working Party need to be established. Sponsorship for a vehicle is being sought.
    3. We have been invited to contribute to an online consultation on policing priorities. We will report that cooperation between the Police, courts and the public needs to be improved. The Police should get support regarding sentencing. There should be an emphasis on antisocial behaviour.
    4. Budgens has expressed a desire to become more involved in the local community. We shall invite the manager to one of our meetings.
    5. Planning permission for the telecommunications mast at Chalky Lane was allowed on appeal.
    6. Details of the soil tipping at Rushett Farm are yet to be agreed. A very large amount of material has been deposited.
    7. Ransom land is preventing development of the car park in May Close.
    8. The Development Committee meets on Thursday 13th May in Kingston and the Neighbourhood Committee on Tuesday 18th May.
    9. No decision has been made regarding Hook United FC. A decision will be taken at a later meeting.

  4. COMMUNITY HEALTH COUNCIL
    No report.

  5. NORTH PARADE
    No report

  6. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
    1. New planning applications:-
      • King Edward Recreation Ground - clubhouse for cricket and rugby.
      • A1 Cafe, 50-60 Leatherhead Road - application to erect 10 houses. We will object.
      • 268 Hook Road - application to demolish existing building and erect 8 2-bed flats and 4 1-bed flats. We will object.
      • Former Coal Depot, Garrison Lane - Erection of storage building and packaging plant with conveyors. Jim will investigate.
    2. Byhurst Farm - continued use of agricultural buildings for agricultural purposes was permitted.
    3. 38 North Parade - Change of use from dry cleaners to cafe/sandwich bar was refused.
    4. An application at the nursery in Clayton Road for the retention of buildings was permitted.
    5. We will meet with Malden Rushett RA and Winney Park RA to discuss matters relating to Chessington World of Adventures.
